Laura Aish

Laura Aish is an emergent artist and filmmaker, currently based in Bristol and the South West of the UK. Her practice explores themes around memory, time, failure, error, mistakes, chance and atrophy through re-working damaged or discarded materials, such as deteriorated footage, archives, found objects and feedback noise, into new visual and sound experiences. She employs a multidisciplinary approach to explore these themes, often encompassing intersections between filmmaking, sound design, paint work and notions of performance.

She is also currently undertaking a PhD research degree, which further explores these themes within the context of an extended research project.
