This Temporary Matter Artist: Hannah Mary
Hannah Mary
"The exploration of neurosis that leads to acceptance through acknowledgment.
The release of the fear of the unknown through order and ritual.
Acknowledging the presence within our absence.
My performance work and my poetry focuses around the organic: natural responses to emotions, environments and the inclinations of the body. I explore, design and enact both personal and communal rituals, exploring how neurotic behaviour can be explored for catharsis in relation to Trauma and mental health.
Performance artist at Royal College of Art
Director of Asylum Art Gallery Wolverhampton
At the Asylum Gallery we have a priority to engage local communities in regeneration through exploration of current and local interests and grievances politically within the framework of the social model of disability. It is the worlds social structure that makes us disabled."
