To mark the opening of Soft Rebellion, Chinese artist Yihang Yuan invites audiences to take part in his interactive calligraphy performance!

Participants are welcome to write their interpretation of the Chinese character for ‘happiness’ “乐”, on a 10-meter scroll of paper with a Chinese brush until there are at least 100 symbols!

Yuan has this to say about the performance: ‘...it is aiming to create a ‘spiritual space’ where people involved in the performance can recall a memory, voice a mood, mirror themselves, or just simply have fun.’
