Whether it’s the birds singing or the minutiae of the world in an object. A face in the grain of a wooden table or the way the light passes through the glass in your window, creating shadows or highlights.
All things that somehow help you see how massive the world we live in really is, whilst somehow summing up your state of mind.
For this reason I would like to suggest the theme of 'a world within a world'.
I would like people to find or create a photograph of a subject that is pictorial but also sums up something that acts as a metaphor for a feeling."
Rankin's work spans photography, publishing and film directing.
