Insert There

Insert There

Call-out to Artists:

Insert There invites artists and creatives to envision where their work would ideally be displayed, challenging conventional notions of art placement and examining the connection between art, context, and perception. Participants will select a location that resonates with their work—whether a renowned museum, a public park, a religious site, an urban space, or even a scene from film or TV—and "insert" their artwork into that space using digital or analogue methods.

Submissions must include a final composite image of their artwork integrated into the chosen location, created by:

  • Digital methods: Seamlessly editing the artwork into the location.

  • Analogue techniques: Using physical collage, printmaking, or similar approaches.

Artists may submit digital files (high-resolution images) or physical works (printed collages, sketches, or photographs).

This exhibition encourages participants and audiences to reflect on how the placement of art changes its meaning and impact.
